New York state Gov. Andrew Cuomo's recently passed sexual assault prevention legislation, “Enough is Enough," will affect Syracuse University's sexual assault policy.

4 people stabbed on Marshall Street

Four people not affiliated with Syracuse University were stabbed outside Acropolis Pizza House on Marshall Street early Sunday morning. A fight was broken up around 2:35 a.m., but after the crowd was dispersed, four people ended up in the hospital with stab wounds.

Big Sean to headline Juice Jam 2015

University Union announced the lineup for the 11th-annual Juice Jam, which takes place on Sunday, Sept. 13. Rapper Big Sean is the headliner and will be joined by EDM artist Oliver Heldens, rapper ILoveMakonnen, alternative pop duo Matt and Kim, indie pop singer BØRNS and EDM artist SNBRN.

Armed DPS officers to wear body cameras

Starting on Oct. 1, every armed public safety officer at Syracuse University will start wearing body cameras. Thirty-six of the 42 public safety officers employed by the Department of Public Safety are armed and will be required to wear body cameras on shift.

Syracuse relies on community to enforce tobacco ban

Syracuse implemented a new tobacco-free policy on July 1 and will base the enforcement of it on community participation. The Department of Public Safety won’t issue tickets to anyone violating the policy, but tobacco users on campus may be approached by an SU community member and asked to stop using it.

New sexual assault prevention legislation to affect SU policy

New York state recently passed legislation aimed at preventing sexual assault. “Enough is Enough,” has redefined consent and created a comprehensive and uniform procedures and guidelines, which will affect SU’s sexual assault policy.
