The 2019 Syracuse football schedule was released this Wednesday afternoon by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Orange, coming off a 10-3 record and their best season since 2001, will look to repeat this season’s effort in their 130th season next year. SU opens 2019 with back-to-back road games for the first time since 2010, starting the year at Liberty on Aug. 31 before a Sept. 7 matchup with Maryland in College Park.

Following the early road trip, Syracuse will host three straight games, starting with a matchup against defending national champion Clemson on September 14. Syracuse has played Clemson arguably as tough as any opponent in the country over the last two seasons. The Orange toppled the Tigers in the Carrier Dome back in 2017 and nearly repeated the effort this season on the road, eventually falling 27-23.

Following the bout with the Tigers, Syracuse will host the back-end of a home-and-home with Western Michigan, before capping the non-conference slate against FCS Holy Cross, their first matchup since 1973. Syracuse travels to North Carolina State on October 10, before hosting Pittsburgh the following weekend.

The rest of the schedule features home matchups against Boston College and Wake Forest and road contests at Florida State, Duke and Louisville.

Syracuse’s 12 opponents combined for an 83-69 (.546) record in 2018, and seven reached bowl games.  The Orange finished the 2018 season ranked No. 15 in the country.
