Time Until Kickoff:

Letter From the Editor

Dear Readers,

For the first time ever, Syracuse will take on Stanford after the Cardinal joined the Atlantic Coast Conference alongside Cal and SMU in 2024. The matchup comes on the brink of a hectic year across college sports, with numerous universities switching their conferences.

With the additions to the ACC, SU Director of Athletics John Wildhack wants Syracuse to grow as a national brand. Amid the realignment with Fran Brown at the helm, the Orange have gotten off to a strong start due to an explosive attack coached by offensive coordinator Jeff Nixon. During his 27-year coaching career, Nixon has helped develop many star running backs in the National Football League, building up an impressive coaching resume. On the other side, Stanford's offense is led by wide receiver Elic Ayomanor. The redshirt sophomore has the potential to be the next great Canadian wide receiver in the NFL.

The Daily Orange has everything you need to know ahead of Syracuse's inaugural matchup against Stanford.
