No. 1 Class of 2025 recruit Alexa Spallina commits to Syracuse

Alexa, the younger sister of Joey, Jake and Brett Spallina, earned All-American honors in 2023 after a 41-goal, 44-assist season. She is set to join the Orange in 2025

Alexa Spallina, a five-star attack from Mount Sinai, N.Y., has committed to Syracuse women’s lacrosse, she announced via instagram on Thursday. Alexa is the younger sister of SU men’s lacrosse’s Joey, Jake and Brett Spallina. She is ranked as Inside Lacrosse’s No. 1 player in the 2025 class. Alexa also considered Clemson and Stony Brook, among other programs.

Alexa is currently a junior at Mount Sinai High School. Last season, she was named an All-American after a 41-goal, 44-assist season. Her assist total was the highest in Suffolk County. In each of her first two seasons, Alexa earned All-Suffolk County honors. She also plays club lacrosse for the Long Island Yellow Jackets. 

Inside Lacrosse lists Alexa with a 93 overall player score. In its analysis, Alexa has perfect ratings in strength, stick ability, shooting, feeding and finishing. The attack also has draw control ability, occasionally being used as a draw control specialist with Mount Sinai.
