Every year at the end of Remembrance Week family, friends, and loved ones gather to celebrate the lives of the 35 Syracuse students and 235 other lives that were lost in the Pan Am flight 103 terrorist attack. Remembrance Week 2022 began Sunday, October 16 with the candlelight vigil organized and put on by the Remembrance cohort. Scholars read the names of the 270 victims of the 1988 Pan Am 103 terrorism act and placed battery powered tea lights on the Remembrance Wall in honor of those who died. Read more »

The ceremony was held from 8:46am to 9:03am and dedicated 17 minutes of silence to mark the time between the time the first jet stuck the north tower of the World Trade Center to the time the second jet stuck the south tower.
